#WNJPC2018

The biennial Wallace National Junior Piano Competition gives New Zealand pre-tertiary pianists the opportunity to compete for prizes totalling over $4000.

Open to full-time secondary school students who are New Zealand citizens, New Zealand residents, or have studied in New Zealand for a minimum of two years.

From submitted DVD auditions, the WNJPC Preliminary Adjudicator selects 16 students to participate in the competition. Competitors perform a 20-minute recital programme of their choice with at least three musical periods included.

Only six competitors are selected by the adjudicators to compete in the Final Round held on Saturday 14 July. Prizes are presented following the 5pm recital on Sunday 15 July.

1st Prize - $2,000
