EVENT POSTPONED | Unfortunately, the latest government Alert Level announcement means we will be unable to present the Lewis Eady Junior Music Contest for Groups on Saturday, 18 September.
We have decided to postpone the event and will announce the revised date as soon as reasonably possible.
With Alert Level 1 being necessary for this event to occur, we shall continue to monitor the situation closely and follow government guidelines.
Contestants - Please don't worry that you are unable to meet with your group to practice properly. Keep up your practice as best you can, and look forward to when we can all enjoy a fun day of music-making.

OPEN TO ALL PRIMARY & INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL CHILDREN
The Lewis Eady Junior Music Contest (LEJMC) is a performance opportunity for children at all levels of musical achievement.
Open to primary and intermediate school students, the LEJMC aims to encourage young musicians to perform and thereby gain valuable performance experience and confidence.
A presentation ceremony concludes the event where each performer is acknowledged with a gold, silver, or bronze certificate. Professional contest adjudicators also provide constructive and encouraging written comments for all performances.

LEJMC FOR GROUPS - IMPORTANT CONTEST INFORMATION
Please note the following...
WARM UP:
Prior to your session start there is an area allocated to tune instruments, warm up and prepare.
REGISTRATION:
Registration opens 30 minutes prior to session start time.
Each Group must Register and provide a photocopy of the performance music, noting your 'Performance Number'.
All Groups must be SEATED in the audience PRIOR to the session start time.
Performance time not to exceed 4 mins.
Awards ceremony to follow each session.
