BEN KENNEDY, 19

Ben Kennedy was born in Wellington in 2002. He began studying violin and piano at the age of six and has since performed in various orchestras and chamber groups on both instruments.

He is currently completing a Bachelor of Music degree at the New Zealand School of Music, where he is studying with Jian Liu. Throughout high school, he was a regular participant in the NZSM Young Musicians Programme, taking part in the piano and chamber music classes. In 2020, he took part in the NZ International Young Artists Festival, participating in concerts, classes and chamber music.
